Alabama:  House Bill 516

If passed House Bill 516 would have created civil penalties for 16 certain health care providers who condition medical treatment upon a patient’s willingness or refusal to disclose information regarding the ownership or possession of firearms.  This bill would also create civil penalties for certain health care providers to enter information concerning firearms into any medical record or otherwise disclose this information to any source, whether intentionally, inadvertently, or accidentally.
